Carina D’Alessio, PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Carina D’AlessioCarina D’Alessio, PharmD is a Clinical Pharmacist with experience in hospital and health-system pharmacy settings. She has worked with UVA Health, Frederick Memorial Hospital, Carilion Clinic, CVS Pharmacy, and Walkersville Pharmacy. Carina began her career as a Pharmacy Technician and Medication Reconciliation Specialist, developing a strong foundation in medication safety and patient care. She advanced through pharmacy training roles including Pharmacy Intern, Lead Pharmacy Intern, and Graduate Pharmacy Intern, building experience in both clinical and operational practice.

Carina earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the VCU School of Pharmacy (2018-2022) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (2013-2017). Her professional interests include inpatient pharmacy practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and medication therapy management.
